3/4 of a year
Mommy here, taking over your blog again. You are 9-months old today little man! Can you believe it? I can't. Time is just racing by. Some days I try to slow it down and memorize every detail. Other days I can't wait until you're walking and talking. I was watching a 4-month old baby the other day and couldn't believe that was you not long ago. What a difference a few months makes! Here's a list all about you at 9 months...
- You are crawling and boy have you gotten good at it!
- You are walking along the couch or between toys.
- You are standing by yourself for a bit. You like to stand up holding on to a toy or your crib and then let go, arms in the air until you lose your balance and then you grab the toy again. Needless to say, you fall. A Lot.
- You are still taking two naps. Sometimes they're good naps. Sometimes their not. There is no rhyme or reason behind the duration of your naps. But as long as you sleep through the night, we don't mind the quirky napping schedule.
- You are eating everything and anything. It's hard to pick a favorite since you really haven't met a food you didn't like. You've even tried salmon that daddy caught.
- You are picking up Purely O's all by yourself. You're getting pretty good at getting them into your mouth. You're better at picking them up with your left hand than your right.
- You are squealing at the top of your lungs. When you're happy. When you're mad. When you're bored. Whenever.
- You are blowing raspberries constantly. It sounds like you're sounding out the letter "v."
- You are staring at us comically when we use sign language.
- Your hair has become unruly suddenly. I know it doesn't look like you have any hair in pictures but as Daddy says, your hair has been activated. It's thicker and longer and crazier.
- You like to flash your toothy grin at anyone. Such a charmer!
- You have recently become intrigued by the DVD player and DVR. Ugh.
- You want to stand all the time. You'll crawl over and grab our hands in order to stand and walk. You don't seem understand why you're not allowed to stand in the tub though.
- You love books. So far your big sister's favorites are also your favorites.
- Singing calms you down when you're fussy. Your favorite songs are "The Wheels on the Bus" and "Where is Thumbkin." Although the ABC's are usually a hit and frankly anything else with signs or movements.
Basically, you're just a whole lotta fun right now. You've got us completely tied around that chubby little finger. And we wouldn't have it any other way. Hugs and kisses baby.
Love,
Mommy
